  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup neutral oil such as vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 10 mL Full Spectrum CBD Oil
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup sprinkles


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare two 8" round cake pans by lining the bottoms with parchment paper and lightly greasing the sides with butter, cooking spray, or neutral oil.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, oil, and sugar until well-combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time before stirring in the vanilla until just combined. Add the CBD oil.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Using a spatula, alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the creamed butter mixture. Mix until the batter is smooth and completely combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. The cake is done when the surface springs back to the touch and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  7. Let cakes cool completely before frosting.
